Moiré Marketing Partners worked with Sequel Technology & IP Law, PLLC, the premier law firm for Internet-related legal issues, to create its brand campaign that included the development of a tagline and the launch of the firm’s new website and companion mobile site.
Sequel is a forward-thinking law firm that is focused on looking beyond how law firms have operated in the past. It solves its clients’ Internet, technology and IP legal issues with an understanding of how they happened—as well as their impact on business—that go beyond its knowledge of the law. The firm has a strong reputation for “writing the book” on Internet law, with precedent-setting cases that have helped shape the laws governing the Internet.
The new brand centers on the concept of “Think Beyond,” which is seen throughout the site in the brand messaging and copy. The homepage interweaves the tagline with the approach Sequel takes with its clients and the important work they conduct in the following ways:
- Think Beyond how lawyers work.
- Think Beyond how Internet law is practiced.
- Think Beyond how law firms operate.
- Think Beyond how law firms bill.
The “Think Beyond” tagline also conveys that Sequel is not just looking out for its clients’ interests in the present, but for the future as well.

Strategic marketer Rod Oshins has joined Moiré Marketing Partners as a principal and head of the firm's new New York office.

"As head of our new New York office, Rod will play a strategic role in developing sophisticated marketing and branding strategies for our higher ed and professional services clients."
Based in the New York area, Rod brings to Moiré more than 20 years of experience developing marketing and branding campaigns for hundreds of professional services firms throughout the country. Not just law firms—for the past several years, Rod has worked closely with colleges and universities nationwide in developing ways to help promote themselves to prospective students, communicate with current students and to keep in touch with alumni.
Prior to joining Moiré, he was Publisher of Executive Counsel Magazine, a leading publication addressing the key issues effecting C-Level executives at the nation's top corporations, private institutions and law firms. Rod also served as Senior Account Executive at Ad Image, Inc. and was an original member of American Lawyer Media’s law firm marketing division.
