Babcock Positions as Deepwater Horizon Go-To Firm

Moiré Marketing Partners has been working with a Louisiana-based litigation firm, The Babcock Law Firm, to rebrand the firm. While they are well known for their plaintiff's work, the firm is now handling a lot of commercial litigation matters as well.

While working on our core assignment, the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill tradegy occurred. Based on a marketing plan we submitted to the client that was approved, we immediately went to work on getting the Babcock Firm positioned as a leader and a "go-to" firm should individuals have a claim regarding losses as a result of the spill. Within the first week after the oil spill took place, we had launched a "DEEPWATER HORIZON" landing page on the existing Babcock Law Firm website with the same look and feel of the current site (it will be redone when the new site launches later this summer). There is also a feature button on the firm's home page. At the same time a modest Google Adword campaign was launched to drive traffic to the page.

Simultaneous to launching the landing page we launched a Facebook page called "Louisiana Oil Spill Lawyers", which currently has almost 100 people that have clicked the like button.

All of these strategic efforts have been done to position the firm as:

1) An "on the ground" in "Louisiana Gulf and trial expert" that is prepared to take on claims; and

2) A provider of critical information to those effected by this tragedy.

To date, it's still early to tell what will become of these efforts - but one thing is for sure, it has generated interest and exposure for the firm that they had not had prior to this tragedy.

For more information on the firm, please visit their website.

Jeffrey Morgan to Speak at LMA Toronto's Annual Conference

Jeffrey Morgan, Moiré's Principal, will be speaking with the members of the Legal Marketing Association's Toronto Chapter at their Annual Conference on January 31, 2012. Morgan will be presenting a lively discussion on Living Your Brand: How to use integrated branding for marketing success in‐ and outside your firm.

To gain a competitive advantage in today’s market, law firms need a strong brand that will help them gain mindshare and attract loyal clients. To build a robust brand, firms need to take an integrated approach to marketing, both inside and outside the firm. All marketing communications should be consistent in look, feel and messaging, from your business cards to your website. Just as your marketing communications should share the same key messages, everyone at the firm from management to administrators should speak with one voice. Staff need to be trained as brand ambassadors, promoting the value the firm provides clients as much as a brochure or website does.
